Roxanne Extra Battle Day Promo Card Revealed!

by pokemario

A brand new Roxanne promo card has just been unveiled for Japan’s upcoming Extra Battle Day tournaments, and it’s already generating excitement among collectors and competitive players alike!

What’s Special About the Roxanne Promo?

  • This Roxanne card is a reprint with alternate artwork, originally debuting in the Battle Region[S9a] set and later appearing in Astral Radiance.
  • The card uses the classic Sword & Shield template, adding a touch of nostalgia, but it’s officially numbered as a Scarlet & Violet promo.
  • It will be distributed as a participation prize at Pokémon Card Gym stores across Japan during the Extra Battle Day events starting July 1, 2025.
  • This marks the first-ever mid-year change for Extra Battle Day promos, replacing the Irida promo that was given out in January 2025.

How to Get the Roxanne Promo

  • Simply participate in the Extra Battle Day tournaments in Japan using an Expanded format deck—every player will receive this Roxanne promo as a participation award.
  • Alongside Roxanne, participants will also get an Extra Battle Day Promo Card Pack, containing one randomly selected card from a pool of 12 Expanded format favorites, such as Crobat V, Computer Search, Muscle Band, and more.

Will It Release Outside Japan?

  • As with previous Extra Battle Day promos, it’s highly unlikely the Roxanne card will see an English release. Collectors outside Japan will need to look to the secondary market.

Previous Extra Battle Day Promos

  • The Roxanne promo follows a tradition of highly sought-after participation cards, including Irida (2025), Raihan (2024), Marnie (2023), and others.
